Gobi – Photo Break

Here’s a little pause to show off a few more photos of one of the cutest kids in the Gobi.  Day 3 will arrive shortly.  But for now, enjoy the photos.  We certainly enjoyed her company and her laughter.

This last one is my favourite by far.  Though the nomads have certainly taken to modern technology and have melded today’s technology with yesterday’s nomadic way of life (solar panels, batteries, and radios seemed common in the gers we came across), I would hazard a guess that most of the nomads still have relatively little contact with most technology, especially those that they have no use for.

So, as my camera hung from my shoulder while I relaxed and just observed the family going about their daily chores, this little girl was fascinated and so curious that she was trying to look into the lens of my camera.  Wearing a huge grin and emitting lots of giggles, I had no choice but to just release the shutter and see what happened.  It was hard to choose, but this is the best of the bunch.
